Turmeaus Liverpool and Chester Tasting Events!
This week we held 2 sold out tasting events at our Liverpool and Chester sampling lounges.
Turmeaus Last Hour held an exclusive event co hosted by Roy Sommer and Plasencia Cigars, along with Flor de Cana Rum.
Our guests at Turmeaus Chester were treated to some delightful Dominican cigars from LFD, with a selection whisky from Tullibradine.

Featured Habanos Brand of the Month – MONTECRISTO!
Montecristo is the best known and probably most appreciated brand of Habanos throughout the world. It forms the benchmark for many Habanos smokers against which other brands are judged.
The name comes from the hero of Alexandre Dumas’ famous novel ‘The Count of Montecristo,’ which was a firm favourite when read by the Lector to the Torcedores (cigar makers) at the factory where it was founded in 1935.

Mid Week Tastings
Last night both Turmeaus Norfolk and Chester hosted luxurious tasting events!
Turmeaus Norfolk played host to Jerry from Tor Imports who guided our guests through a range of New World cigars, paired beautifully with Flor De Cana 12 Year Old Rum.
Over at our Chester store Sara and the team hosted a Cuban cigar tasting, with a selection of El Rey Del Mundo cigars and exclusive whiskies.

Tasting Events this Week!
Drew Estate Orchant Seleccion Cigar Pre-Launch Party!
Anthony hopped on a train early Tuesday morning to head over to Turmeaus Liverpool for the eagerly anticipated Drew Estate Orchant Seleccion release!
Johnathan Drew and the whole Drew Estate team were in the house and on fine form as they presented the stunning ‘Lightweight’, ‘Middleweight’ and ‘Heavyweight’ vitolas!
The cigars are now available for pre-order here, and already look to be a sure-fire hit!
The pairings for the evening were a selection of Stalla Dhu Cask Strength whisky and Puffin’ Rooms luxurious cocktails
El Rey del Mundo La Reina UK Regional Edition 2018 Launch!
Last night saw the launch of the El Rey del Mundo La Reina UK Regional Edition 2018 in London!
The star studded event saw many famous faces in attendance, include Chris Eubank and our very on Mr Mitchell Orchant 🙂
The night also saw the presentation of something extremely special, must own for all true Cuban cigar aficionados – The Hunters and Frankau House Reserve Humidor Collection Number One – The first Series 1790 collection is an elegant humidor, containing very rare and special cigars taken from H&F’s reserve of Habanos UK Regional Editions dating from the first in 2005 up to and including the 2017 release.

Some of our newer staff are in school this week with Tim Owen from Hunters and Frankau, who is taking them through their Habanos Academy training.
Our teams are constantly training and learning so that we can bring you the best possible service.
James, Anthony and Georgina will also be starting revision for their Masters of Cigars Certification, this prestigious award has only been given to a handful of people worldwide, be sure to follow the blog for updates on how they are all getting on.

Mr Orchant is in the building!
Last week saw the man himself, Mitchell Orchant attend a very special event at out Turmeaus Norfolk store. Co-hosted by Hunters & Frankau and Dictador Colombian Rum.
Guests enjoyed not one, but TWO cuban cigars; the exquisite Cuaba Divinos followed by the ultimate stogie…made famous by Mitchell – the Bolivar Belicoso Finos!
These cigars were paired with 12 and 20 year old rums from Dictador, brand ambassador Oleh was on hand to tell all about the history of this fantastic tipple.

Davidoff Awards 2019 – Turmeaus Norfolk
We have been working really hard to complete the Davidoff Cigars training last month and this weekend we’ll be getting together for a presentation evening to congratulate our staff on all their hard work.
We are working closely with Davidoff, and have been making some big changes to our website to promote our joint partnership with them in bringing their cigars to the forefront, because they are without a doubt the ultimate new world luxury!
